Monolithic Rollover Form
This is a monolithic rollover form. This allows up to cast the product upside down and then use gravity to rotate it 180 degrees. By casting the product upside down, we are able to provide a monolithic base slab.
16′ Diameter Steel Reinforced Polymer Concrete Wet Well
USCP has provided multiple 16’ diameter wet wells to projects requiring a large capacity round structure. These sections are 17.5’ wide and can weigh up to 20 tons each. This diameter structure is also used in tunnel shaft applications.
Unique USCP Items
Wall Reinforcement Joint Lifters Wall for connectors Barrel Reinforcement USCP put a lot of thought into how it builds the products we offer. We had to make decisions that we knew would affect the long term performance of the products we were providing. We had to...
Steel vs FRP Reinforcement
Corrosion of steel rebar: There has been some attention given to the use of steel reinforcement in the polymer concrete products. Sadly, the attention has been an attempt to portray our design philosophy in a negative fashion. These attempts are an effort to try and...
Lifting Devices
USCP uses two different engineered lifting devices for handling our products. Both of these devices are cast into the product during production. One device we use is what is commonly referred to in the precast industry as a utility anchor. The utility anchor is...
Rubber Gasket Joints
USCP utilizes a rubber gasket on all of our round structures. The gasket and joint are designed to meet the requirements of ASTM C443 in order to provide a long term watertight joint. The profile shape of our joint is designed as the same profile used by standard...
Is Higher Compression Strength Better
How important is the compressive strength of polymer concrete? Polymer concrete is known for having robust material properties. Both compressive and tensile properties of polymer concrete will typically exceed those of a standard Portland cement concrete. Along with...
ASTM Acid Testing
Corrosion protection is the whole point for using polymer concrete precast manholes and structures in collections systems.
